Somewhere between development , beautification, and modernisation, the voice and feelings of a common man of the city gets crushed forever. There are plenty of poets, painters, and artists in a crowd that you see daily. But most of them are too usy to meet their month-ends and have no time to express their artistic or poetic side.
Delhi government along with Delhi I Love You and Twitter India organized a Twitter based competition in which the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal asked people to express their love for Delhi in their own words. People had to tweet their feelings and then jury that consisted of intellectuals and artists had to pick top 40 messages in four languages: Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and English.
Thousands of tweets poured in and jury had tough time selecting one over other. The poetry by Prashant V Shrivastava (@pecificcreation) was first to be announced as winner in Hindi.
This poetry has been painted at the Saket City Hospital wall facing the Shereton Hotel in South Delhi. Prashant was interviewed by many media houses from print and electronic media. More details are at http://mydillistory.blogspot.in/
